We are seeking a talented Senior Quality Assurance Manager who will handle planning, developing, and executing the overall quality assurance strategy for 1/ST Technology Enterprise software product offerings. This position collaborates with Product Management, Executive Stakeholders, Development and Support teams to foster a team-based approach to high quality software delivery and drive appropriate changes in those organizations to ensure high quality deliverables. In this position, you will demonstrates leadership, coaching and mentoring skills combined with the flexibility of working in a dynamic, fast moving and fast-growing product development environment.  

• Establishes and manages test automation infrastructure that promote efficient SDLC release management.
• Manages a team of QA Engineers and testers across multiple product lines and business units.
• Implements policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards.
• Monitors and audits processes and production testing against established standards.
• Gathers and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects and products to key stakeholders.
• Identifies gaps in existing testing activities and develop solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes.
• Collaborates with senior management across the organization to ensure Quality standards meet business expectations.
• Ensures development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
• Provides hands-on, expert level technical assistance and coaching for Quality assurance staff.
• Provides support for existing legacy infrastructure and road mapping for future development.
• Assists with identification, evaluation and design of new technologies and keeps abreast of QA trends.
• Advises on QA budget and staffing needs.
• Prepares job descriptions and collaborates with HR to lead QA recruiting efforts.
• May perform other job-related functions as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (preferred) or related field
• 10+ years of enterprise software and hardware product quality assurance experience including test planning, implementation and execution.
• 4 years of experience in a leadership and management position for multiple QA teams and multiple enterprise software products.
• Advanced working knowledge of QA processes, methodologies and frameworks.
• Hands on experience or knowledge of Puppeteer, Playwright, JEST, Test Rail, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Postman, JMeter, CircleCI.
• Experience automating and testing legacy B2B/B2C systems and latest cloud based containerized microservices applications.
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to motivate staff towards achievement of company’s strategic vision.
• Strong, resilient, results driven, and self-directed individual with personal commitment to excellence.
• Collaborative and communicative working well with teams across the organization, communicates plans and prepares leaders to communicate to their teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration – strong in forging relationships across groups and driving buy-in and commitment towards solutions that may be challenging or new.
• Ability to mentor, coach, lead and develop talent in a dynamic environment in order to build the required capabilities and to attract and retain the best talent.
• Ability to present to, collaborate with, and influence the Senior Management Team.
• Excellent client relationship skills to include rapport building, presentations, and business reviews,
• Broad knowledge of engineering systems spanning Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Applications.
• Experience implementing and using test automation frameworks (Puppeteer, JEST)
• Working conditions include the possibility of working long hours during project deadlines, moderate workload pressure, some evening work, and up to 20% travel.
• Successful track record in building and maintaining relationships at all levels within the company.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Entrepreneurial, ambitious (takes initiative and personal ownership/accountability) and strong ‘integrator’ (innately knows when to share information and/or to bring parties/business units together).

      PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Knowledgeable in technology, horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming, sports wagering
• Working knowledge of multiple SDLC processes and frameworks
• Ability to investigate and recommend additional software, methodologies or process improvements for all steps in the SDLC, especially QA

     OTHER INFORMATION:

• Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive base salary and benefits.

          BASE WORK LOCATION:

• Position is based at the Hunt Valley, MD office location as ‘In Office or Hybrid” work environment

         Note: Due to pandemic and based on business direction, positions are remote work full time until otherwise notified.
