1/ST Technology is searching for an experienced candidate to join our Network Operations team as a NOC Operator.  You will be responsible for monitoring the health of mission critical systems associated with both internal infrastructure and customer facing systems.  You also support a combination of IT support and data center operations.  In your role as part of the Network Operations staff, you will work closely within the department and various tech teams (Development, Systems Administration, Database Administration, Network Engineering, etc.) to ensure our monitoring solutions are applied in a deliberate, measured, and precise way.  As part of the NOC team, you will provide both first line support in troubleshooting and are integral to quickly building incident response, while providing ancillary support as needed.

• Foster and leverage formidable insight into internal and external infrastructure to facilitate escalation, resolution and documentation of incidents/issues.
• Assists in the execution of change controls and software upgrades.
• Solves problems directly or coordinates problem resolution between internal/external parties.
• Monitors customer tickets and responds in a timely manner.
• Participates in long-term projects to improve NOC tools and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by NOC Manager.

• 1-2 years of applicable Network/Service Operations.
• Candidates without direct Network/Service Operations experience must demonstrate 2-3 years of applicable experience within an Information Technology role.
• General knowledge of network and operating systems.
• Direct experience with network monitoring and ticketing software.
• Proficiency with productivity software and various web browsers.
• Ability to work independently to complete complex projects and tasks.
• Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally.
• Effective self-directed time management skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Flexible work schedule involving weekend and evening support.
• Technical degree/certifications is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring software (Nagios, PRTG, Solarwinds NPM).
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie).
• The position can be based at the Beaverton, OR office location. Position classification as “Hybrid” or “Remote Work” available.
